Katie is a is a Certified Professional in Talent Development with with 24 years experience in adult learning, currently seeking part-time and contract hours as a support specialist for workforce training. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband Marc. She enjoys hiking on the Violet Crown Trail, cooking, studying history, meeting with friends or family, and getting completely absorbed by her two grandsons or a great book.

The following work samples are from 2019 – 2023 for employer National Center for Farmworker Health, a longstanding voice for migratory and seasonal workers and training/technical assistance partner for community and migrant health centers. Projects were implemented by talented multidisciplinary teams and Katie’s specific role is noted for each.

Katie served as a professional services lead and then online learning specialist and learning management system (LMS) lead for the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research, an nationally recognized organization which provides high quality professional certification to agents, brokers, risk managers and insurance customer service representatives. She gained knowledge of extended enterprise learning management system, leading the vetting and selection of 3 major LMS (including Desire2Learn and TopClass) platforms and two webinar platforms (including Adobe Connect and LogMeIn) for the online classroom and self paced programs. The final deployment joined both programs onto one platform, resulting in 40K+ cost savings and critical infrastructure security in the first year of implementation in 2017.
